Hathras - Following the directives of the Election Commission of India, Hathras district has launched a campaign to establish one polling station for every 1,200 voters. On Friday, District Election Officer Rahul Vats chaired a meeting with representatives of national and state-level political parties. During the meeting, the District Election Officer stated that as per the Election Commission’s guidelines, one polling booth will be designated for every 1,200 voters to ensure that no eligible voter is deprived of their right to vote and that ineligible names are removed from the rolls. It was informed that the draft publication will be issued on November 10, 2025. The enumeration period will run from November 4 to December 4, 2025. The draft roll will be published on December 9, 2025, and claims and objections will be accepted from December 9, 2025, to January 8, 2026. The final electoral roll will be released on February 7, 2026. The meeting was attended by the Additional District Magistrate, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Assistant District Election Officers, and representatives of various political parties.
