Kolkata | Political activity is intensifying in West Bengal as Asaduddin Owaisi steps up his campaign efforts. Reacting to his arrival in Kolkata, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said that Owaisi has been trying to enter Bengal politics for a long time, but the people of the state do not easily accept outsiders.
He added that any political party must work hard and struggle on the ground before earning public trust in Bengal. Meanwhile, Owaisi’s party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has formed an alliance with former TMC leader Humayun Kabir and his Am Janata Unnayan Party. After the announcement, both leaders held a joint press conference and revealed plans to hold 20 rallies across the state, with the first rally scheduled in Berhampore on April 1.
