Sojat City: After experiencing intense heat throughout the day on Saturday, the weather suddenly changed in the evening as strong winds, a dust storm, and rainfall swept across the region.

While the rain brought relief from the scorching temperatures, it also caused significant disruption to daily life. Strong winds uprooted trees at several locations and damaged electricity poles, leading to widespread power outages. In many areas, electricity supply could not be restored even by Sunday afternoon, causing inconvenience to residents.

The dust storm reduced visibility on roads and affected traffic movement, while the sudden weather change caught many people off guard. The stormy conditions created a challenging situation for commuters and local residents. Earlier in the evening, the Meteorological Department had issued mobile alerts warning people about the possibility of strong winds and rain. Following the warning, residents took precautionary measures. Meanwhile, electricity department teams continued restoration work to repair damaged poles and power lines.
