The previous Gehlot government had announced the creation of 17 new districts in the state at the end of its tenure. Along with this, the decision to create three new divisions and three new municipal corporations was also taken during the tenure of the then Gehlot government. Which was opposed by the BJP at that time. Now the government changed and the government's decision changed. As soon as the BJP came to power, it formed a review committee and now on the basis of the committee's report, the decision to create 9 districts and 3 divisions was canceled. The cabinet meeting canceled the formation of 9 districts and 3 divisions out of the 17 new districts created during the previous Congress government. At the same time, 8 districts have been kept as they are. The government has said that the decision to cancel the districts will be taken according to the national standards. But here three MLAs each from BJP and Congress could not even save their districts. That is, this decision of the cabinet is also being seen in connection with the political stature of these MLA ministers. In the decision to cancel the districts, Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa comes from Dudu and his own Dudu district has also been canceled. While the second smallest district was Khairthal Tijara. Which is in the area of Mahant Balak Nath and he has won the race to save his district. With this decision, Mahant Balak Nath's political stature seems to be much higher than that of the Deputy CM. Here, along with Dudu, Kekri and Shahpura also have BJP MLAs and a decision has been taken to abolish them as well. At the same time, the status of district has been taken away from three districts, Neemkathana, Gangapur City and Anupgarh, which have Congress MLAs. There are Congress MLAs in all three places. In such a situation, the opposition's protest seems to be calm to some extent due to the abolition of districts of three BJP and three Congress MLAs. Congress's only MLA Khairiya has benefited from Mahant Balak Nath's influence in saving the status of the district and Khairiya is the only Congress MLA among the BJP MLAs in the list of retaining the district. On the other hand, Arun Chaudhary, MLA from Pachpadara assembly constituency of Balotra, Shankar Singh Rawat from Beawar, Dr. Shailesh Singh from Deeg, Pabbaram Vishnoi from Phalodi, Shanta Amritlal Meena from Salumber and Hansraj Patel and Dr. Jaswant Singh Yadav from Kotputli-Baharod are MLAs. All the MLAs are from BJP and by including their areas in the list of districts, the government has given some relief to the party MLAs.

On the other hand, Congress had divided Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota corporations into two parts. But now after review, the government's eyes are set on making the two corporations of the three cities one again.

Let us tell you that in view of the census, it was necessary to take this decision by holding a cabinet meeting from December 31 and now the government will issue a notification by demarcating the districts afresh next week. In such a situation, the district collector and district level officers will be removed from these districts. At the same time, district level posts will also be abolished.

Now talking about the reaction of the opposition after this decision, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara said that the government has taken this decision without thinking. They will start a movement in the entire state from January 1 against the abolition of districts. Either the government will have to create districts again, or else the BJP will not get candidates for elections in these areas. When the Congress government comes to power in Rajasthan, these districts will be restored again.
