A shocking incident has come to light from Nathdwara, where a family that had come for darshan at the famous Shrinathji Temple suddenly became victims of a massive theft.
According to reports, Govind Khandelwal, a resident of Ujjain, had arrived in Nathdwara with his family to attend a wedding and visit the temple. But while returning to their hotel after darshan, a bag belonging to his wife, filled with expensive jewellery, was either left inside an auto-rickshaw or stolen.
Inside the bag were diamond bangles, a diamond necklace, earrings, pendant sets, a luxury watch, cash, Aadhaar card and other important documents. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at nearly ₹50 lakh.
The thief managed to escape with the valuables… but what happened next shocked everyone.
Acting quickly, Rajasthan Police and the Shrinathji Police Station launched an immediate investigation. Within just 24 hours, police tracked down auto driver Dharmendra Yadav, arrested him, and recovered the entire stolen jewellery along with ₹7,000 cash.
This swift action by the police has drawn praise from all sides and once again proved that when police act fast… criminals do not stay free for long.
