Rajsamand is one of the major districts of Rajasthan state. This district was established by Maharana Raj Singh I on April 10, 1991. The district is named after Rajsamand Lake, which was built by Maharana Raj Singh I between 1662 and 1676. Rajsamand district is known for its beautiful lake, temples, and historical sites.

Maharana Raj Singh I was the king of Rajsamand. He was born on September 24, 1629, and was the son of Maharana Jagat Singh I. He ruled Mewar from 1652 to 1680 and was a brave, courageous, and valiant ruler. During his reign, he built the Rajsamand Lake, which is a tourist center today. Maharana Raj Singh opposed Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's destruction of Hindu deities' idols and protected the idols of Hindu deities. He performed the Tula Daan (offering of weighing gold and silver) in celebration of his coronation and donated gems to the Brahmins.
Maharana Raj Singh undertook many significant works during his reign, such as repairing the Chittorgarh Fort, constructing reservoirs, and protecting temples. After him, his son Jai Singh took over the throne of Mewar. Rajsamand Assembly constituency is one of the main electoral constituencies in Rajasthan. This constituency came into existence after the delimitation in 2008.Various development works in the Rajsamand Assembly constituency include the construction of an ICU at the RK District Hospital, widening of the Khari feeder that fills Rajsamand Lake, construction of water tanks for drinking water in the village from the MLA fund, construction of community buildings, and CC roads, etc.

Nathdwara- This place is famous for the temple of Shrinathji, who is the principal deity of the Vaishnav community. Millions of devotees come here every year for darshan. Recently, the world's tallest statue of Shiva has been erected here, which stands at a height of 369 feet. This statue is so massive that it can be seen from 20 kilometers away.
Haldighati - This place is known for the famous battle between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal army. The museum and Chetak Samadhi here are major attractions, and it is said that after the battle, the soil here turned red with the blood of soldiers.
Charbhuja Temple - The Charbhuja Temple is located in the village of Garhbor in the Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. It is an ancient and famous temple. This is a temple of Lord Vishnu, and due to its architecture and religious significance, it is very popular among tourists. The idol of this temple is 85 centimeters tall and has four arms, in which Lord Vishnu holds a conch, discus, mace, and a lotus flower. A large fair is organized at Charbhuja Temple every year on the occasion of Bhadrapada Ekadashi, in which thousands of pilgrims participating.
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary - This sanctuary is an ideal place for wildlife lovers.
