According to allegations, after ₹1,000 reportedly went missing, students of Classes 9 and 12 were subjected to a search. The girls have alleged that they were asked to remove their clothes during the search, leaving them frightened and humiliated.
The students reportedly remained silent due to fear and embarrassment. However, when they informed their families two days later, villagers staged a massive protest and locked the school gate, demanding strict action against those responsible.
Taking the matter seriously, the Education Department has suspended senior teacher Saraswati Meena, while vocational instructor Vandana Sharma has been relieved from duty by her service provider. A departmental inquiry is now underway.
The big question is:
If the allegations are found to be true, how can students feel safe in the very place meant to educate and protect them?
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say strict action will be taken if any wrongdoing is established.
