Why shouldn't it be in discussions, the most important film of this year... or rather, the film that was awaited has finally come at the end of the year. Pushpa 2, one of the most awaited films of this year, hit the theatres across the world on Thursday, 5 December. As soon as it hit the theatres, it dominated the box office. On the first day, the film earned a lot and on the second day, it created a new history at the box office. This film has broken the record of many blockbuster films within two days of its release. This list includes not one or two, but many films.

This film Pushpa 2 did a business of Rs 294 crore on the first day. After which this film became the biggest opening film of Indian cinema. On the second day, the film earned Rs 90.10 crore and in two days the Indian collection reached Rs 265 crore. The film crossed the Rs 400 crore mark globally in just two days. This list also includes Prabhas and Anushka Shetty's Baahubali 2, released in 2017. Which earned Rs 121 crore on the first day. At number two, Kannada superstar Yash's 2022 film KGF 2 earned Rs 134.5 crore.

Ram Charan and Jr NTR's film RRR, released in 2022, also earned 223 crores. But breaking the record of this film, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's film Pushpa 2... has become India's biggest opening film today. Also, its earnings are still consistent.

Pushpa 2 has also broken the record of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's film Pathan, which made record-breaking collections in cinemas across the world last year, for the biggest non-holiday opening in Hindi. This film has not only broken Pathan's record, but also Shah Rukh Khan and Nayantara's action film Jawaan's record.
