Rajsamand - There has been a long-standing protest against the process of making coal in illegal kilns by cutting down green trees in Rajsamand... But now, action has been taken and they have been demolished... This action was carried out under the leadership of Rajsamand Sub-District Officer Brajesh Gupta and the direction of Rajsamand and Kunwariya Tehsildars... On this occasion, the RI, Patwari, and several prominent citizens were present... It was reported that a few days ago, the tehsildar received information that kilns were operating illegally... Environmentalist Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Sundar Paliwal was also opposing the cutting down of green trees and throwing them into the kilns... It is worth mentioning that green trees have been cut down rampantly in Rajsamand district for a long time... These green trees were being thrown into the kilns to make coal... This was destroying the life-giving air and nature of the district... A few days ago, environmentalist Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Sundar Paliwal stated that the wood mafia is operating in the districts of Rajsamand, Railmagra, Kunwaria, Sardargh, Nathdwara, as well as in the bordering villages of Bhilwara and Chittorgarh. These people have been cutting down hundreds of years old trees from government, non-government, and agricultural land, as well as forest areas and sending them out of the state in containers for the past 3-4 years. Some mafias are cutting thousands of trees daily and are venting them into more than 500 illegal coal-making kilns in the region. Criminals wanted in Madhya Pradesh, Ajmer, Bhilwara, and Chittorgarh are also involved. A large mafia from Kunwaria and Pur, Bhilwara is actively working with many criminals in this illegal operation. There is also smuggling of cattle happening here. Besides this, many other illegal businesses are also thriving. Because these illegal furnaces and wooden warehouses are built in secluded forests... Where village women, girls, goats and cattle go to graze in these forests. They can have a big accident... Last year, a girl grazing a goat was raped in Bhilwara. That girl was burnt to death in such coal furnaces... Many times the district administration and public representatives were informed. But there seems to be no stopping at this... Dr. Paliwal has urged the government to stop this cow trade with immediate effect. Otherwise, it is going to have big consequences in the coming time. In this era of climate change, we are all realizing its consequences.
