Ramesh Viras. The POCSO court of Jalore has punished the accused in a case with 20 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50 thousand. Special public prosecutor Ranjit Singh Rajpurohit said that the victim's father had registered a case of missing minor at Bagra police station. In which he wrote that his minor daughter had gone from home to buy vegetables, but did not return home till late evening and also searched at many places. On which the police registered a case and started investigation.Later, the police arrested Bhagaram alias Bhagwat Kumar alias Bhagwanaram, son of Bhavaram Dewasi, resident of Dhansa police station Ramseen and handed over the name to the victim. Considering the age of the accused, the decency shown during the trial of the case, the victim's sexual consent and family background, the POCSO court took a lenient stance towards the accused and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 under Section 6 of the POCSO Act. Fine was imposed.
