Many rituals are taking place on the holy festival of Navratri.
Navratri is a vibrant and significant Hindu festival, celebrated over nine nights in honor of the goddess Durga. Each day of the festival is associated with one of her nine avatars, and devotees observe various rituals, prayers, and festivities.

Ghatasthapana (Kalash Sthapana): This marks the beginning of Navratri. A pot (kalash) is installed in homes or temples, symbolizing the goddess Durga. It is filled with holy water, and grains are sown around it, which are nurtured throughout the nine days.
Fasting: Many devotees observe fasts during the festival, with some fasting for all nine days and others choosing specific days. They abstain from grains and certain foods, opting instead for fruits, milk, and special Navratri meals.
Daily Worship of Durga's Forms: Each of the nine days is dedicated to one of the goddess's avatars, from Shailaputri on the first day to Siddhidatri on the last day. Devotees perform puja (ritual worship), offer flowers, incense, and lamps to the goddess, and recite Durga Saptashati or other sacred texts.
Garba and Dandiya: In Gujarat and other parts of India, people engage in traditional folk dances like Garba and Dandiya Raas. These dances are performed in honor of the goddess and symbolize devotion and celebration.
Kanya Pujan: On the eighth or ninth day, young girls, symbolizing the nine forms of Durga, are worshipped. They are offered food, gifts, and new clothes as part of the ritual.
